Russian Brilliants® Now Offering Royal Asscher Cuts

To add to its diverse cuts of stones, Russian Brilliants® now offers the incredible Royal Asscher® cut. In the same family as the cushion and princess cut, but with greater depth perception, the Royal Asscher ® diamond is a square step-cut style with 74 facets, cut corners, high crown setting and a steep pavilion. The facet plane on the stone is designed to pull light deep into the stone, creating a spiral effect similar to ripples that radiate when a pebble is tossed into the center of water, and when viewed from the top, it presents a unique concentric square pattern. The Royal Asscher is the result of computer technology and old cutting secrets, taking two years to develop the software to design the cut. Asscher cuts are becoming more popular today. They are being set in 14K, 18K and platinum 3-stone trinity rings.
