Birthstones

Closing the price gap could have a huge impact on your next colored stone purchase. Now you can save 50%-600% (and more) on platinum and gold rings and other fine jewelry. - All set in with a birth stone or other favorite colored stone.

Highly collectable and rare colored stones can now be perfectly duplicated in a laboratory. Located on the western edge of Siberia sits the Institute of Monocrystaline Research. Dr. Victor Vins, Deputy Director has pioneered the growing of beautiful colored stones. The chemical composition, hardness and color match equals that of their much more expensive natural twins. The only difference is that one comes from the earth while the Hadar synthetic stone is grown in a laboratory.

Neither a gemologist or your hair dresser will know the difference.

Hadar, Co. has contracted with some of the finest colored stone cutters in the world. Each created stone is flawless, custom hand cut for beauty and ideally proportioned to meet any of your jewelry needs. Quoting one client / a jewelry manufacturer: "You (Hadar) are on the cutting edge for color match and fine cuts. We are most impressed by how you are able to bring out the beauty in all your stones without any social or environmental consequences".

Sapphires: Available in many colors. The most popular being Ceylon Blue, Pink, Yellow and Milk Chocolate  Brown.

The greater majority of all "natural" sapphires are heat treated to enhance the color. The treatment is stable. However, it can easily be overturned when exposed to flame (jeweler's torch) or harsh chemicals (jewelry cleaning solutions).

Sapphires are very durable. They are rated 9 on the Moh's scale. The chemical composition for natural or Hadar.

Sapphires grown in a laboratory are corundum. All sapphires can be elegantly placed next to Russian Brilliants® simulated diamonds or smaller natural diamonds to compose an elegant jewelry piece with distinction.

RUBY: Birthstone - July
"I'm wedded to the red." A quote from Harriette Williams Downey, renowned collector of some of the most stunning ruby pieces. Her husband James Williams was the owner of the Cincinnati baseball team in the 1950s. The word ruby is derived from the Latin word rubeus. Today the mining of rubies has been reduced to only a few areas. Burmese rubies are known to be among the finest in the world. Their color is identified as pigeon blood. Unlike other rubies there are no traces or purple and are highly sought after. Hadar markets only this top quality red ruby. Did you know that all rubies are comprised of corundum? Which in fact classifies this beautiful stone as a red sapphire. Please call for pricing - 800-322-0995
EMERALD: Birthstone - May
This vivid green stone is mostly associated with royalty. Graced with diamonds they make for some of the most exquisite designs. Many queens have adorned them. Cleopatra was especially known for her collection of emerald jewelry. South America is the largest exporter of emeralds. The Muzzo mine in Columbia is known to produce the best color and quality emerald. 85% of all natural emeralds are heavily included and "oiling" or enhancement is common. The Hadar emerald is flawless, grown to color match the Muzzo emerald and there is no enhancement process involved.  Please call for pricing - 800-322-0995
